HARO / Journalist Request Links
Expert commentary placements in journalist source requests.
Journalists still need expert sources — the platforms changed (HARO shut down in 2024; Connectively closed shortly after), but the game didn't. We run daily pitching across the current source-request ecosystem: Qwoted, Featured (Help a B2B Writer), SourceBottle, and reporter Twitter/X. You approve a founder/expert profile once; we watch queries, write quote-ready pitches in your voice, and only send the ones with a realistic chance of landing coverage. Every successful placement is an editorial mention on a real newsroom — often DR 70+ and often dofollow.
What's included

- Only relevant queries pitched — no spray-and-pray, no fake credentials
- Follow-up handling when journalists reply with clarifications
- Coverage report: outlet, DR, link attribute (dofollow/nofollow), URL
- Monthly recap so you can see hit rate and iterate the expert angle

- Founders and in-house experts with a strong point of view

FAQ
Is HARO still a thing in 2026?+
The HARO brand shut down in mid-2024 and its successor Connectively closed too. The source-request market moved to Qwoted, Featured (formerly Help a B2B Writer), SourceBottle, and journalist requests posted publicly on X. We run pitching across all of them — most agencies just haven't updated their landing page yet.
Are HARO-style links dofollow?+
It varies by outlet. Roughly half of successful placements are dofollow editorial mentions; the rest are nofollow but still on high-DR newsrooms — brand and trust signals that are hard to buy any other way.
What's a realistic hit rate?+
For a well-briefed expert in a busy niche (SaaS, finance, marketing), 1 in 8 to 1 in 15 pitches converts to a mention. Niches with fewer source requests convert less; we'll set an honest expectation before onboarding.
Who writes the pitches — me or you?+
We do, in your voice, using a founder/expert brief you approve upfront. You review pitches for accuracy before send if you want; most clients hand off fully after week two.
How is this different from full digital PR?+
Digital PR builds proactive stories around your brand. HARO-style pitching is reactive — journalists already have a story, you supply the expert quote. It's cheaper per placement, faster to first result, and pairs well with a bigger PR retainer.
Do you fabricate expert credentials?+
Never. Every pitch is from a real person on your team with real experience. Journalists check, and one debunked quote poisons the relationship for every future pitch — not worth it for anyone.
